MyCareerSkill.org is a distance learning initiative delivered in partnership with Mount St. Joseph University and designed to provide online, on-demand, self-paced training toward the achievement of certifications.
Our mission is to prepare students and workers for high-demand jobs and careers. With the growing demand in the Information Technology (IT) and health information systems fields, we offer a variety of short-term programs to aid in earning nationally recognized certifications.
The short-term training programs typically take between 3 and 6 months to complete and allow the flexibility to adjust your schedule and pace within the program duration, based on your needs and goals.
Individuals who often benefit most from our program include the underemployed, unemployed, disabled, dislocated workers, and students, as well as anyone looking for a career change or to improve their skills in a particular field.
These career certification training programs are offered as not-for-credit, and do not lead to an academic degree. Students participating in MyCareerSkill programs are not recognized as students formally enrolled at Mount St. Joseph, and are not eligible for any benefits of enrollment reserved for enrolled students of MSJ.
MyCareerSkill Instructors have spent many years in the IT and Healthcare industries. The experience they have gained comes from working with companies pertaining to software and technology, as well as family practices, billing companies and Physician Hospital Organizations. All of our Instructors and Student Support Advisors hold at least one certification in their field.
